Museums

Chamonix's Alpine Museum is situated in what was the old Chamonix Palace. This beautiful museum is dedicated to the memory of the valley with photographs, maps, crystals, ancient objects and costumes. See the development and changes that have been made to the valley between the 18th and 20th centuries from the first tourists who came to admire the glacières de Savoye to the golden age of winter sports. Take yourself back in time and see Chamonix as it was then - the changes are amazing.
