Bars and Restaurants.

The French are famous for their cuisine, with each area proud of its regional specialities. The Haute Savoie is renowned for rich cheese dishes such as Tartiflette and Fondue.

Vallorcine has a great selection of bars and restaurants each with its own character. These are our favourites...

L'Hotel de Buet

Run by the Chamel family for 120 years, this is a typical French village hotel with a bar frequented by the locals. Serving excellent lunchtime and evening meals, the Hotel de Buet is an essential part of any trip to Vallorcine.

Restaurant La Ferme des Trois Ours

A beautiful wooden chalet decorated with cow bells and skis serves traditional and modern French Cuisine. In summer a sunny terrace overlooks the river and le rocher d'escalade. You can watch the climbers whilst enjoying a leisurely lunch.

L'Arret Bougnete

Situated at the railway station, this is the perfect place to enjoy lunch. Cosy inside with a busy terrace, L'Arret serves delicious galettes, pastas and salads. Always fun, with a great team of staff.

L'Ours Bleu

Vallorcine's newest restaurant, part of the luxurious residence of the same name. Open lunch times and evenings for pizzas, A la Carte and a good value 3 course set menu which changes daily.

Bar Guy

Typically French, with the Post Office and Bar under one roof, Guy serves stamps and beer! A super place to spend an hour soaking up local atmosphere.

Cascade Berard

Open during the summer months. A gentle stroll from Le Buet leads you to Cascade Berard with a chalet serving light meals and snacks. The myrtille ice cream sundae is not to be missed!
